How NVIDIA is helping shape the Metaverse

As the world has come to rely on the internet to complete most daily tasks and the unprecedented mass adoption of mobile tech seeing no signs of stopping, the question remains, what’s next? Online discourse has been largely dominated by talks around the metaverse and everything this entails. From NFT’s to VR homes, the possibilities seem endless and is only limited by what we can create in this new space.

Picture a digital world populated by homes, people, art, and everything the mind can create. This world relies on user generated 3D content and Nvidia has thrown their hat in the meta ring. Finally out of Beta, Nvidia Omniverse has emerged as a tool to create the building blocks of the new meta.

Combining tools from across platforms via the Nvidia omniverse platform, designers will be able to seamlessly integrate assets from Autodesk, Adobe, Epic Games and more, allowing for a seamless workflow, uninhibited by software restrictions. With this open-ended design process, users will be able to collaborate and help create 3D assets that will shape the Meta.

The biggest advantage to this centralised approach to 3D design is eliminating the need to import and export multiple assets in the hopes of compatibility. With Omniverse Create, users can model, texture, add motion, raytracing and staging to assets all in one platform without restrictions. The hope is to create a platform that will encourage users to create without limitations, encompassing the ideals of innovation set by the Metaverse. Now the only question that remains is how the architecture and design industry will take advantage of this new tech and who will emerge as the industry leader in Meta design.
